Sam Ludwig is a painter in Peterborough Ontario and DUMBO Brooklyn. He is a self taught artist. His landscapes, portraits, and still life oil paintings are made from his own way of seeing the world.
He has been recently affected by the news of immigration problems and New York as a sanctuary city. These are his impressions of “Lady Liberty” — the statue representing different cultures all hoping to be part of American life.

This series “Lady Liberty” was made in 2019, and will be exhibited as a group of 15 paintings. Most are 40x30in, oil on canvas. Sam is hoping to show them in a location near the statue.
