I put together a Solo exhibition at the Canadian Opera Company's Company's
Hummingbird Centre, for the final performances
in the
building that's held so many opera events that inspire my work: every season for
the last ten years! A fabulous company,
and fun to be in the building
architect Derek Buck designed as a big show of the audience
itself. In 2007 the COC will finally have
its new building just
uptown, with the better stage and acoustics. I feel glad to have been at the
first building, showing paintings
at that special time. Thank you especially to Karen Hendrick,
who chose my work from the Toronto Arts and Letters Club show.
